ADVANCED MAKE-UP FX Begins:

Take the next step in learning the art of professional Make-up FX in this advanced class taught by artist J. Anthony Kosar! In this intense follow-up course to the original ART OF MAKE-UP FX and an extension of the ART OF MASK MAKING, you will learn the professional process on
how to design, create, and apply your own foam-latex prosthetic. Utilizing the skills and techniques taught in both the ART OF MAKE-UP FX and the ART OF MASK MAKING, you will now learn new advanced sculpting techniques to sculpt your prosthetic over a provided life-cast. Next you will learn advanced, more specific mold-making techniques to
properly mold your prosthetic sculpture in stone, and how to properly mix, cast, and cook your prosthetic in foam-latex. Then, you will learn how to pre-paint your prosthetic, and properly apply the prosthetic to yourself, followed by safe removal techniques. This course will consist of lectures, demonstrations, and HANDS-ON learning. NOTE: Both the Art of Make-Up FX and the Art of Mask Making course will be required for enrollment in the Advanced Make-Up FX course. Students will not be creating a life-cast of their face in this course, but will be using a generic one instead. All materials included, including an advanced sculpting tool
set, a life-cast, and an advanced prosthetic make-up kit for you to keep! Be prepared to take notes, and be sure to bring your sculpting set you received from ART OF MASK MAKING and your make-up kit received from the ART OF MAKE-UP FX on the first day of the ADVANCED MAKE-UP FX class.

All classes will be scheduled on Sundays and Sundays from 10am to 4pm with a lunch break. Students may either bring their lunches or eat at one of several fast food restaurants within walking distance. Classes open to all Adults, College Students, and High School students. To inquire on anyone younger than High School age, please contact us at Studio@KosartEffects.com to seek approval. THE ART OF MAKE-UP FX: There is an enrollment deadline Monday June 24th, in order to have advanced prosthetic make-up kits and advanced sculpting tool sets available for students on first class date. No enrollments accepted after enrollment deadline. To redeem a gift certificate, the recipient must have a PayPal account and enroll in a class or workshop online through this website only. Buying a gift certificate does not automatically enroll the recipient into a class or workshop. Instructions are on the gift certificate. Credit/debit cards are only accepted through Paypal. Due to tools and materials supplied by Kosart Effects Studios to the students, fees are non-refundable. However, students who miss a class day are invited to make up the same class day during another available course session. All course dates are subject to change. If a class date is canceled and/or postponed, it is up to Kosart Effects Studios when the class will be rescheduled. If classes are canceled and/or postponed by Kosart Effects Studios only, students will have the option to keep their spot for the rescheduled dates or receive a refund. Kosart Effects Studios and J.
